Opened in 1982 as a welding company servicing commercial fishing equipment and repairs.
In 1987, a machine shop was purchased to support conveyor fabrication for the commercial clamming industry, as well as manufacturing and recycling plants.
In 1992, Northeast Industrial Equipment and Supplies opened, specializing in hydraulic systems and design for commercial marine construction and commercial fishing. Services included hydraulic equipment design, system installation, and support.
From there, the company built multiple barges ranging from 15×40 single and pin-together units to 145×45 barges, along with construction mud-cat–type dredges. Work also included refitting controls, winches, and power units on dredges.
In 2025, the company celebrates its 43rd year.
